How to Get Your First 10 Users for a SaaS

The first ten users rarely come from ads. They come from conversations, communities and other founders.

Your first ten users are not a marketing problem, they are a conversation problem. ## Start where founders already are Indie communities, small Discords and local meetups are full of people who will genuinely try a product if you ask directly and specifically. ## Ask for a signup, not a favour "Would you try this?" is vague. "Would you create an account and tell me if onboarding makes sense?" is a request someone can actually complete. ## Trade instead of beg Other founders need the same thing you do. A reciprocal signup exchange — you sign up for their product, they sign up for yours — turns an awkward ask into a fair trade. That is exactly what Sign4Sign formalises. ## Collect what you learn Every early signup is a chance to watch a real person hit your onboarding for the first time. Write down where they hesitate.
